Once upon a time, in a small kingdom, there lived a beloved ruler known simply as Prince Owen. The people cherished Prince Owen for his just and fair nature; he was reasonable and avoided any 'princely airs.' This kingdom was often the backdrop for enchanting bedtime stories filled with dragons and princes, but today, an urgent tale was about to unfold.
One day, a farmer named Bruce approached the prince, seeking an audience. Prince Owen, always eager to connect with his people, welcomed Bruce warmly, offering him food and drink, knowing he had journeyed from the far reaches of the kingdom. After Bruce had refreshed himself, Prince Owen inquired, "What brings you here today? It must be important, especially since I know you grow corn, and harvest time is near."
Bruce replied, "Yes, my Prince. I come to you because my cornfields are threatened by a dragon."
"A dragon, you say?" Prince Owen exclaimed, intrigued. "Are you certain? We haven't heard tales of dragons in these parts for many, many years, not since my great, great grandfather's time!"
"I am sure it is a dragon. It flies, breathes fire, and looks like a giant lizard. It is devouring my corn and has even been spotted by my neighbor Adam, who raises cattle, taking one of his steers. Please, my Prince, you must act before this mystical creature wipes us out!"

Randall "Pappo" Snook is a grandparent to two little boys who he has had the pleasure of taking care of since they were born. He was a Respiratory Therapist for 43 years and when he retired, the opportunity to take care of his grandkids just seemed like the natural thing to do.
Bedtime has always been story time. Sometimes, they read together. And sometimes he makes up stories to entice the imagination of his grandsons. "Pappo's Bedtime Stories" is a collection of some of the tales of adventure.
